Northbrook - 7:30 am - Road bike ride... SUSPENDED FOR SEASON SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!

Join us in Northbrook on our Sunday Morning Road Ride. The group leaves at 7:30 am sharp every Sunday from the George Garner Cyclery: Northbrook location at 1111 Waukegan road. Ride is year round dependant on weather. We do not ride if it's raining, snowing or below 35 degrees. Average speed is about 17-19 mph and the distance covered will vary from 30 to 50 miles depending on how everyone is feeling. The ride is a no drop ride, so all are welcome. Please call Jim at 847-272-2100 with any questions.

I hope this finds everyone and their families healthy and well. As the weather has markedly improved and more of us head outdoors we felt it was important to provide an update on when and under what conditions our Sunday club rides will resume. While things are getting better here in Illinois we are not yet out of the woods. Based on our current status and the guidance from local and state health officials our decision is to wait until Illinois enters phase 4 as we believe that is the safest course for everyone involved. The isolation required by the pandemic has been very difficult for everyone especially when it comes to the friendships and camaraderie we find every Sunday. While we understand everyone’s circumstances are different and each of us will make decisions based on that we ask that if you do participate in a group ride you not wear a Garner kit as that directly reflects on the club and how we are collectively perceived in the cycling community. Please reach out to either myself or any of the club’s leaders if you have questions about this decision and what it means. Stay safe, see you on the road ****
