These pucks attach the Old Man Mountain rack frame to the front or rear of your mountain or fat bike. They provide a secure upper attachment point for the rack. Included in the packet are heavy-duty zip ties, clear protective film, and mounting hardware. Designed for use with carbon, steel, titanium, and aluminum bikes and forks. Slots in the puck also allow for use with metal hose clamps (not intended for carbon bikes). Pucks can be left on the bike for future reinstallation of the rack. Recommended for use only with specific Panduit brand 120 lbs zip ties. Fit Kit SET813 contains all the parts needed to thru axle mount an Old Man Mountain bike rack to the rear of your bike with a 12 mm rear thru axle. This kit includes: - 12 x 154—172mm thru axle with 1.0 mm thread pitch - A pair of pucks - Clear protective tape - Stainless steel mounting hardware - Axle mounting increases our rack's load capacity to 70lbs/33kg - Fit Kits make it easy to swap between bikes or front and rear mounting with just a few bolts - Fit Kits protect your bike. Not all bike eyelets are meant for racks, most are only made for fenders or have very low weight limits.
